Who is eligible
Do you qualify?
The trust supports the family of Ann H. Orenski (née Konopka) with grants of funds for tuition and in some cases living expenses toward the completion of a post-high school educational program. The family includes Ann’s lineal descendants — if she is your parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, and so on — along with anyone married to a descendant and the legally-adopted children of a descendant.
- You are a member of the Orenski family — a direct descendant of Ann, married to a descendant, or the legally-adopted child of a descendant — and can describe your relationship to her.
- You are enrolled, or about to enroll, in an undergraduate program, graduate program, or specialized trade school (e.g. flight school, carpentry school, culinary school, etc.).
- You have applied for FAFSA and other financial aid you qualify for — the trust is a fund of last resort.
- You’re ready to share your program details and progress each semester you seek support.
Describing your line of descent
Applications ask you to trace your lineage back to Ann — for example, “Ann → their child → … → you.” The trustees review each line of descent as part of considering an application.
